Gouache is my new favorite medium ever!

the book that almost happened

This summer for my internship i was lucky enough to get to work on a book that, origninally was going to be published. That ended up not happening which left me pretty upset at the time, but now i'm glad i at least have a few spreads from it that i finished anyway which i like. These were done in acrylics, my favorite is the one with the two characters in the boat.

This summer and a little while before I had a big streak of drawing my own and other people's characters from the online game "World of Warcraft". I don't play anymore, but I still think the art is entertaining. These were all done with copic markers

jumping the bandwagon!

Well, after peeking through a few friends of mine who have artistic blogs I think it seems like a pretty sweet way to go! so... here we are I guess. I'm Katie, or Red as the majority of my school seems to know me as, and I'm a senior at mcad... halfway really relieved that it's almost over and halfway terrified that, oh God, its almost over.

anyway i guess i could post a few pictures right away... why not! This summer I messed around using photoshop a bit, where as usually I am pretty strictlly traditional with my mediums; painting and drawing.  so here are a couple of those!
